For the ninth year in a row, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the best university in the world

QS World University published its top of the best institutions in the world for 2021 and the universities of the United States were positioned in the first place.

The complete list includes a thousand educational centers located in 80 different countries. For the analysis, the organization took into account 5 thousand 500 universities with factors such as academic reputation, employees, the ratio of students to teachers, international students, among others.

Of the world’s top 10, American schools occupied five positions, and the rest other institutions from the United Kingdom and one from Switzerland.
These are the best universities to pursue a career in the United States in 2021:

10. Columbia University

The campus located in Manhattan, New York, is one of the most recognized and selective institutions of the Ivy League, admitting only 5.8 of those who apply. It ranked 19th worldwide and 10th in the United States.

For now, Columbia University maintains remote classes due to the coronavirus pandemic and it is expected to continue this way during the next quarter. However, that will not affect the visa status of foreign students.

9. Cornell University

Another New York State University managed to stand out in ninth place in the United States and 18 internationally. It is located in Ithaca and is termed as a liberal institution. In addition, it was one of the first universities to offer a degree in Journalism.

For the ninth consecutive year, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has established itself as the best university in the United States and in the world. Its Cambridge facilities house more than 11,000 students from five faculties and its research develop important advances in medicine, poverty, artificial intelligence, climate change, among others.
